Hospitals, schools, renewable energy – there are so many smarter ways to spend billions of taxpayer dollars than handouts for oil and gas billionaires.
Yet the Australian government is pushing its gas-led recovery, handing potentially billions of public dollars to their buddies in the fossil fuel industry.
In the last week of April, just before the federal government hands down their budget, communities all across the country are coming together for a week of action to Fund Our Future, Not Fracking Gas fields.
Here in Perth we have an important role to play in halting the expansion of fracking gas fields across our state.
That’s why Frack Free WA is calling on you to join them at Federal Industry Minister Christian Porter’s office in Ellenbrook.
Friday April 30th at 12pm to demonstrate that we want this Federal Budget to #FundOurFutureNotGas.
From Darwin to Cairns, to Hobart, Sydney, the Gold Coast and so many more, communities will rally outside their local federal politician’s offices and let them know what they reckon would be a better use of public money than the Federal Government’s fracking spending spree.
Bring your friends, family and colleagues for a colourful and creative delivery of your ideas for a recovery for the people, not the polluters. Your voice is important to help fight back against the vested interests in our politics.
You can be part of it by joining in on Friday 30th April outside Christian Porter’s office, 3/28 Main Street, Ellenbrook – click here to find out more and RSVP on Facebook.
